Event Name: Austin Kannada Sangha (AKS) – Yugadi 2025

Waiver and Release Agreement:

By participating in this event, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Acknowledgment and Agreement
By purchasing a ticket and attending the Austin Kannada Sangha (AKS) Yugadi 2025 event, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this waiver. If I am purchasing tickets for my family members, including minors, I am signing on their behalf and accepting these terms on their behalf.

2. General Participation Agreement
I understand that this event is organized by Austin Kannada Sangha (AKS), a nonprofit organization, and participation is voluntary.
I acknowledge that food will be served on a banana leaf and that I am responsible for any food allergies or dietary restrictions that may affect me or my family.
The event will feature local cultural programs and a musical band from India, and I understand that participation in these activities is at my own discretion.

3. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that participation in any event-related activities, including but not limited to food consumption, cultural performances, and social interactions, carries certain risks, including personal injury or illness (including COVID-19 and food allergies).
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation and that of my family members, including my children.

4. Liability Waiver and Release
I, on behalf of myself and my family members, including minors, release, waive, and discharge Austin Kannada Sangha (AKS), its committee members, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates from any liability, claims, or damages arising from any injury, loss, or harm sustained before, during, or after the event.
I understand that AKS will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings during the event.

5. Parental/Guardian Consent for Minors
As the primary ticket holder, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of any minors accompanying me, and I take full responsibility for their safety and conduct during the event.

6. Photography and Media Consent
I acknowledge that photos and videos will be taken during the event and may be used for promotional, social media, and archival purposes by Austin Kannada Sangha (AKS).
If I do not wish for my or my family’s images to be used, I will inform the organizers in writing before the event.

7. Refund and Ticket Policy
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless the event is canceled by AKS.
Tickets are non-transferable and must be purchased through official channels.

8. Agreement to Follow Event Rules
I agree to follow all event rules, venue policies, and safety guidelines, including any health and safety regulations in place at the time of the event.
AKS reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual who does not comply with event policies without a refund.

By checking the agreement box while purchasing the ticket, I confirm that I have read and agreed to the terms and conditions stated above on behalf of myself and my family members.

(For participants under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must check the box on behalf of the minor.)
