About Austin Kannada Sangha

Austin Kannada Sangha (AKS) is an official non-profit organization for Kannadigas living in Austin and surrounding areas. Kannada is the official language of the State of Karnataka - one of the four states of Southern India. The purpose of this organization is to provide an opportunity for Kannada speaking immigrants from India to promote and preserve Kannada language and culture in North America.

As of Dec 2017, there are around 500 Kannadiga families living in Austin. AKS has a growing mailing list of close to 850 recipients. We have around 1400 AKS followers on Facebook.
